Mid-morning Cinema: Hyènes by Djibril Diop Mambéty

Saturday Mid – morning Cinema is back!

We would like to thank Jackie Karuti III who led the previous sessions. This session will be run by Don Handah and features a West African classic.

Our conversation revolves around – Hyènes, a 1992 Senegalese comedy film adaptation of Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s Swiss-German satirical play The Visit, directed by Djibril Diop Mambéty. The intimate story of love and revenge parallels a critique of neocolonialism and African consumerism. It was entered into the 1992 Cannes Film Festival.

Tickets: Ksh. 300/=
Please note there is limited seating so to ensure you have a place please pay in advance on our Paybill 514001 Account “Saturday Conversations”
